me1stcounseling

I have an undergraduate degree in Sociology, as well as a graduate degree of Professional Counseling, both from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. My journey would lead me to working with children and teens in care in a group home and juvenile justice settings, school and home-based counseling with a non-profit agency, and crisis counseling in a crisis call center that handle calls from throughout the United States and abroad. In addition to my professional experience, my personal journey consisted of being in a blended family from the age of 12 until now. I have been married for a little over 18 years, and I continue to be a part of a blended family structure. I desire to walk along side of individuals, couples, and families as they navigate through life’s many complexities. I use multiple counseling (CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Based therapies) and life-coaching approaches to orchestrate this. I specialize in working with those who struggle with communication, conflict management, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, women’s issues, and self-esteem issues to name a few. I look forward to walking along side of you to help you obtain your goals, and to address the growth areas that have brought you to this place in your life. Congratulations in taking the 1st step!
